Suggestions for improvementsto the dragon arena
1. Remove the 1min waiting time, honestly is anet trying to bore us to death before a three min match?
2. Add a TA style arena to it, so then everyone who ' OMG SYNC NOOBS REPORT1111' can keep playing eachother.
3. Add at's to it. You did it to one event why not the next?
4. Improve the points. 5 points a win? did anet ever ralise that after r2 getting 5pts a win is like the slowest way to receive points ever? Again, you increased the points for costume brawl, why not do it again?
Feedback etc is appreciated(not rly lol)

1. I almost think you're trolling... But apparently you're serious ;\ 1 minute isn't that big of a deal to be honest. Try waiting 12 minutes in halls when you get a no opposing.
2. Indifferent. I don't think syncing is that big of a deal, in dragon arenas.
3. It was discussed somewhere I believe that snowball AT's gave out waaayy too many RP's which is why they didn't do it for dragon arena.

you actually know what you're talking about? :/
gaming title is one of the hardest to progress at as you can onla work on it during festivals, which is like what? 2 weeks per year? maybe more, anyway, compared to other titles that you can progress at at any given time, getting 5 points per win is small. Maybe it's ok to get rank 1, even 2, but any higher is at this rate pointless.

/agree with all
especially #4, imo DA should be the minigame that gives THE MOST points, since it has nothing to do with luck or build wars but pure player skill. Ping still has a small influence (bad lag obviously, and when using imperial majesty 17 or 18 ping can matter) but it is neglectable.

I agree with all. But i also thought about some balance changes.
So: dragon blast. I want a penalty for spamming it, so people will use it skillful.
Something like: increased recharge to 8. If you hit with this spell, it recharges instantly.

Yes I do , getting gamer shouldn't be easier then getting gladiator for our hardcore pvp'ers.
r1 glad takes about 50 hours (2 pts/hour) and 25 hours (4 pts per hour) if your good and if your pro it takes 15 hours (no really do the math)
Gamer : nets about 50 pts / hour if your good thats 20 hours for r1
Nuff said.

I stopped reading there.
Yes, it should be. Its a silly title and the Dragon Arena doesn't give nearly as much as snowball.

1./not signed 1 min isnt that big of a deal, also allows for slower loaders/laggers, which is very common during festivals to have a chance to load
2./not signed same skills and health for everyone. What does it matter people of the same guild/alliance are on the same team? Does that give them an advantage? Absolutely not.
3./not signed keep dragon arena indifferent to everyone
4./signed seriously 5 points? thats BS. id rather take my chance with rollerbeetle racing.

Thank you so kindly for deleting my reply to this.
His post is still totally wrong though. Voice communication > everything else.
http://www.teamquitter.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=11186 for an example since I don't have a screenshot lying around.
Also, check out http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dodgeball_(scrimmage) if you think no one cares. AT with something that players actually invented would be more that awesome.

Pretty standard stuff, they are just better players, vent does not have anything to do with it and as such it is the same for every team. No real unfair advantages.

They still gain the advantage by syncing. I kind of can't say "oh noes, stop sync" cause that's a team game - of course they're gonna sync. Plus it's definitely more fun that random picks.
The only reason "i'm god" talk is on vent cause their opponents get rolled too easily. Give them an actual challenge for once, in an automated tournament - bigger rewards, less mindless killing of newbs.
As for voice com.: try playing GvG or HA without Vent, even if you have all top players in your team, eventually you're gonna shoot yourself in the foot.

All approved, save #2, because it becomes redundant with #3. Also, points earned during said ATs should be at least higher than points earned in normal fights.

Trust me I have played top 100 gvg and done Ha a lot in the past (although I only have a sad tiger)
The thing is DA is different than both those venues and I would also argue that HA needs limited voice comm, I remember back in the days doing HA with "korean" mostly r9-12's (in factions) no one was actually on vent and we rolled most teams (of peak hours, still)
DA however doesn't need that much coordination, there are some basic things the teams need to do and things you should do to back up whoever is close to you; none of which require voice comm.
Trust me, I know, I'm a da addict. I've been with the american synch for 4 or 5 da's now. I usually play under Chill Bill. People from your screenie, I know what they talk about in vent, because I'm there
The vent is just about being social and we usually synch trough it.
